Family Law
You need family law advice. It’s an emotional time and you need a lawyer who will be there to respond to your needs—someone dedicated to providing support and getting you the best possible outcome.
When marriages or de-facto relationships break down it’s never simple or easy. It affects your lifestyle, emotional state, financial interests and, for parents, the rights of your children.
Kamy Saeedi Lawyers works in partnership with you during these tough times, understanding that family law is about ‘real people; real issues’.
This is why, during our first session together, we concentrate on breaking down the issues and getting to know the real problems—so we quickly start moving towards a sustainable end result.
Our aim is to:
- minimise conflict where possible
- look at the ‘whole picture’, not just the legal issue
- make sure your dispute doesn’t drag on unnecessarily.
If you need cost-effective, ethical legal support in any of these family law areas, simply call Kamy Saeedi Lawyers:
| Property disputes | Domestic violence |
| Parenting disputes | Apprehended violence orders |
| Paternity disputes | Divorces |
| Spouse maintenance | Financial agreements |
| Family violence | De-facto property disputes Child support |
Tips
- Speak to one of our lawyers before moving out of your family home.
- If there is family violence, report it to the police and then make an appointment to see us to discuss your rights.
- Remember: There is no such thing as ‘normal’ in family law. Outcomes depend on individual circumstances and our professional advice, so don’t be guided by the advice of non-experts, based on what they have experienced—even if they’re family or friends.
Getting the most out of your legal experience
The more we know, the better. To save you money, Kamy Saeedi Lawyers has developed a detailed form you can complete before our first appointment.
If it’s too overwhelming or hard to concentrate, that’s OK. Just bring some basics when you come to see us, including copies of your marriage certificate and children’s birth certificates.
If the matter involves a financial settlement gather as much recent information as you can before your appointment (ideally for yourself and your partner), such as:
- payslips
- tax returns
- mortgage statements
- bank account statements
- credit card statements
- superannuation statements.
